The second image below is from November 1964 describing an OSCAR III tracking station built at the Long Beach Municipal Airport by the Microwave Society of Long Beach with help from the City of Long Beach and The Los Alamitos Naval Air Station, so it seems the tracking station originally set for Los Alamitos NAS ended up at Long Beach Municipal Airport.

Skipping a few months to March 1965. In the article it shows members of the Microwave Society of Long Beach performing a dry run of their equipment in readiness of tracking OSCAR III. OSCAR III was launched on the 9th of March 1965 three days before this article was published.
